I wish you could see me grinning from ear to ear looking at this photo.
No matter how crazy life gets or the curve balls that get thrown our way,
I know that I can go home, curl up, and Josh (Mr. Lucky Shot) will have my back.

Not only Josh, but the fur babies!
Have I mentioned that my house is practically a ZOO?!
Meow, growwwwwwwwwwl, purr…and a silent dog…those are the sounds of my day.
Pictured here is Petree, our Whippet Dalmation, and she has definitely been known to come and
snuggle her nose onto me if I seem to be in a sad or upset mood.

How did this photo come to be?
I decided that it was high time for me to buy and try out a seamless background for my home studio,
and of course I needed a model.
A little bat of the eyelashes and Josh was putty in my hands.
(if by putty I mean that there were exasperated sighs and all sorts of eye rolls).

And Petree wanted to see what the fuss what all about :D

In case you’re wondering how I choose which photo to edit,
I kind of do this dorky, close my eyes, point the mouse, hope I hit an actual photo thing.

In my “edit me!” folder (yes, that does exist, ha ha!), everything is a RAW file.
Literally, I have noooooooooooo clue what photo I’m choosing.

Because I was…at first.
Yep, I just admitted that.

July 4th.
The one clear day a year when every photographer gets out their tripod and treks to the nearest show to get some fun shots.
And most of them probably had to wipe the dust off that tripod, that’s how little some of us use one :]

This was the first year that we went out with our next door neighbors/bfs and their (then) 1.5 year old.
I don’t care how corny it is for me to say this…
but if you truly want to appreciate something, watch it through the eyes of a child.
There is so much unfiltered wonder and excitement!
I loved seeing and hearing Mr. B’s little gasps!

As adults, we may have seen our fair share of fireworks, it’s nothing new,
but to them, it’s BRAND spankin’ new.
And I can’t wait to share that kind of stuff with my own kids.

Hello all!
I, like many other photographers, suffer from a “condition”.
We are so focused on your memories that some of us will leave personal photos
set to the side, untouched, unedited…unloved?

(If you are every bit of a Doctor Who nerd like me then hopefully you read that in the voice of “The Moment”)

I’ve decided to take on my first 365 project,
editing a personal photo every day for one year.
Telling you my stories, both simple and complicated.

This was taken about a year ago when Mr. Lucky Shot and I spent Christmasvacation
in his hometown of Leavenworth, WA.
Leavenworth, the Bavarian village, NOT the prison,  ha ha!

Was definitely a shock to deal with snow after leaving 70 degrees in Phoenix.

Thanks to my wonderful, handsome, talented…(on and on I could go!) husband
for snapping this quick shot.

Welcome to ME!
