It’s no secret that I am not great with words. My husband? He can spin a tale with the best of them. Maybe that’s why I’m best behind the camera, documenting stories through frames instead of written word. In 2017 I was fortunate enough to find my passion and what really gets me excited. Birth? Oh, of course! But there is something definitely special about post-birth sessions too. The families are so excited and have this brand new connection that you can’t replicate, it’s truly unique. Last Fall Maria, Mike, and big sister Hazel invited me to their postpartum space in Mesa, AZ for a Willow Birth Center Fresh 48 session.
Willow is a gorgeous facility with caring staff. It’s pretty new here in the Valley and I see several mommies in Facebook groups asking for feedback, I’m always happy to put in a good word. See my Fresh 48 family at such ease and relaxation when I arrive definitely tells a big story. Is there a better recommendation than seeing the experience firsthand?
Now, allow me to let Maria tell you about her post-birth photo experience:
“Our family was truly blessed with Fresh 48 photos by Meg! Throughout the end of my pregnancy, Meg was wonderful checking in and then providing words of encouragement when I went almost 2 weeks past my due date. When our son finally decided to come, it was fast and furious (under an hour of active labor and delivery) and Meg was able to rush over and capture our little guy, rearranging her schedule to do so. During the shoot, her bubbly personality and humor made everyone at ease. An added bonus she delivers the photos on USB to you! I really enjoyed sharing stories about pregnancy and labor with Meg too. I’ve already made a beautiful photo book with all the GORGEOUS pictures.”
Let’s take a look at what this kind of session looks like…
